have a rear error problem

hey all
im trying to back up/copy a dvd of my exgirlfriends dad its a slidshow the funeral home made of picture the family sent them ,,,i can watch it on my PC ,,my burn software show ok when i run a test on it but when i go to copy i get this error unrecovered read error medium error im thinking theres a scratch on the dvd some where i tryed bypassing all read errors but still get it ,any thoughts .thinking about haveing someone get a new dvd from the funeral home n try again they want the family to pay $ 25.00 per dvd rip off any in put might help lol thanks ! ` < . : ; ' " ?

Robin,

It could be a number of items. It may be helpful to know what format the DVD information is in. Opening My Computer, and uploading us a screenshot of the data on the DVD drive would be ideal.


If its in DVD format, and not in some sort of special SlideShow format, you can probably use a software like "DVD Decryptor" to make a digital copy of it (which would then have to be converted using another free software conversion tool (like Videora)).

ok i have the dvd decryptor i think its a slideshow formate or someone said they might have put a bad secter in they(my friends) r teying something else thanks anyway...
