Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is a first-person shooter developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision for Windows, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. It will be the eighth installment in the Call of Duty video game series (including expansions), the first not to be set during World War II, and the first to be rated "M" for Mature by the ESRB. It was announced on April 25, 2007, and will be released on November 5, 2007 in North America and four days later on November 9, 2007 in Europe.
